In collaboration with our partner C6 Composite Tooling, we helped a leading Advanced Composites Manufacturer increase production rate massively.

Without getting too technical (unless you want us to – we like technical), they required a 35mm stepped groove in a sheet moulding compound. Their previous solution involved two passes and took about 15 mins.

Working with C6 Composite Tooling, Allied developed a bespoke PCD Tipped Groover which enabled us to reduce the time per cycle by a third. Or in other words, we were able to help them increase their capabilities by a third.

Either way we made or saved them money!
