Investments in state-of-the-art CNC robotic loading facilities, multiple Vollmer PCD erosion machines, and lights-out production systems have reduced lead times dramatically while increasing turnover—demonstrating our commitment to innovation and sustainable growth.

As a combined saw service, engineering, form tool manufacturer, we can offer more cutting and sharpening experience over the range than any one else in our field. Our commitment to quality is total. Each individual member of our team, now over 80 strong, is dedicated to ensuring that the goods and services we offer are of the highest quality. This is especially important to us, as amongst our customer base of over 2000 active accounts are many major companies, in a broad range of manufacturing industries, including Automotive, Aerospace, Furniture, Precision Engineering and Particle Board Manufacturing, as well as many Government Departments.

Over recent decades, we expanded our product range and market reach. A major milestone was becoming the exclusive UK dealer for AKE saw blades, which complemented our growing portfolio of TCT saw blades, PCD shank tools, and spindle tooling. Long-term supply contracts with renowned companies from industries including  manufacturers of wood products, steel stockholders, the automotive industry and superyacht manufacturers further cemented our reputation.

During the 1990s, we began investing in cutting‐edge machinery—such as our first Vollmer sawblade servicing centre—to enhance our manufacturing and servicing capabilities. This marked a pivotal shift from manual processes to advanced, automated production methods, ensuring higher precision and efficiency.

The company had grown and was formally incorporated in 1983 under the name SAWRITE (SOUTHWESTERN) LIMITED. We later rebranded to ALLIED SAW SERVICES LIMITED in 1988 before adopting our current name, ALLIED (TOOLING) LIMITED in 1994. These changes marked our evolution from a niche service provider into a broader engineering and tooling specialist.

We began from small beginnings as a small, family-run business in 1977, focused on traditional craftsmanship servicing cutting tools. This early period set the foundation for a reputation based on quality and innovation in tooling and saw blade services.
